Gift Inspiration for Her

Christmas Gift Inspiration for Her

It's nearly (12 days to be exact) the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas! and as someone who loves anything and everything Christmas this is a bittersweet time. On one hand, the one day I have been waiting for is finally here and I couldn't be more excited, but on the other hand this means that Christmas will soon be over, and lets be honest, no other holiday really lives up to Christmas.

Christmas is also a time of giving gifts and honestly this is probably my least favourite part of this magical holiday. Along with being someone who has a real problem with procrastination when it comes to anything important, I am also rubbish at figuring out what to buy people.

Now I know Christmas is more than gifts, however, you can't beat the big grin that forms on someone's face as they open up a present that they absolutely love. I'm going to list some things that you could get your significant other, mother, sister or friend.

1. Make-Up

Typical but usually a safe choice for most girls. I personally love make up, but I know not every girl wears or likes it, so you need to know the person you are buying for. Most girls who love make up have a few items which they would love to buy but just can't afford, or don't feel like spending the money at the time. These are the items you need to look out for. This goes for most things, but just listen to who you are getting the present for, chances are they have mentioned a product or brand in the past which they love. This is an easy way to get something fool proof that she will definitely be happy with.

2. Clothes/Shoes

This may be tricky is you don't know the person well enough to know their sizes and measurements, but like with make up, she has most definitely shown/mentioned something she likes. If not, then you can always get something that they can pair with anything. Basics make the best presents because there is a very good chance that they will like it, plus they will be able to pair it with anything in they closet. Some basics include, denim jackets, blue/black/grey jeans, sweaters and hoodies.

3. Jewellery

Jewellery is a very common thing for people to get as a present for any occasion. Some girls aren't into jewellery as much as others, however, a nice dainty necklace or bracelet is a safe bet in most cases especially if it is special to the person. Depending on your budget, you can get small and delicate jewellery from places like Pandora and Tiffany & Co, if you have a smaller budget, you can always go into local jewellery shops. Often times they have big brands but also some smaller ones which wont break the bank. You can even engrave some pieces to make it extra special.

4. Accessories/Everyday Essentials

Accessories such as handbags, purses, sunglasses, phone cases and ear/headphones. Such objects, along with everyday essentials, like socks and lingerie, are usually given along with a more "special" or expensive main present, however this doesn't need to be that case. Each of the objects listed has a more special or valuable counter part. However, the present in no means needs to be expensive to be special. If you know the person you're buying for has been eyeing a certain handbag or a pair of  socks then its completely fine to get that as the "main" present.

5. An experience

An outing or a trip, or eve a nice dinner. A present does not need to be a physical object by any means. I personally would much rather prefer to go somewhere and gain wonderful memories than an object that I may only use a few times. It also doesn't need to be a trip to Paris or anything expensive. or extravagant, going somewhere like a museum or an amusement park is enough. Do something which you can both enjoy, something that the present receiver has always wanted to do or something you know will make them happy.

Everyone is different, a present should be catered to the persons likes. People have the misconception that it needs to be a physical object which they give but it doesn't. In the end Christmas is about spending time with your loved ones and making the people around you happy no matter how you go about doing it. Christmas is a time to be enjoyed, not sitting around worrying about presents. The person will love that you even considered them and actually thought about them while picking out the gift. They will find it special just because of the effort you put into it.
